Have you ever secretly felt like a spiritual dummy? Like maybe the powers that be passed over you when handing out the “spiritual smarts?” That others were the spiritual “haves” and you were a “have not?”

If you’ve ever felt this way, this message is for you. First, a story…

Like many children, as a young girl this vessel had a natural inclination to draw close to Spirit and to curiously ponder the deeper meaning of life. From the age of seven onward, she did everything the spiritual leaders of her faith instructed her to do, not so much from a desire to please them or comply, but because she had an earnest desire to be connected to the greater purpose of life, and she assumed (as all children do) that the adults knew more that she.

And so she embraced the rituals and teachings of her faith with heart and sincerity! She was a bright and eager child, a straight A student in school, so she assumed that this “God-stuff” would be easy to master as well. But there were many rules and inconsistencies within her religious upbringing, subtle fears and confusing messages about the need to earn love, and sincere spiritual practices were not always followed by happiness and a sense of belonging.

Many years later, as a young wife and mother, after having dutifully ingested the tenets of her faith, she felt confused. Like a bit of a dunce. In spite of her passionate devotion and committed spiritual practice, she still felt lost, broken, and like something was missing. As a result, there was a growing sadness lurking behind all her efforting.

Once, as a young mother, while volunteering with a group of praying women, although she displayed the same level of commitment to the group’s mission as the others, she was given a prayer assignment that seemed to be of a “lesser” value than the others’ in the group. When she gently inquired of the group’s leader about the lesser assignment, the leader responded by saying, “Well, you just don’t have it.” She instantly felt ashamed and deflated. She wondered, “What is it?” but she didn’t feel safe enough or worthy enough to ask the question aloud. So she fell in line with the group, continued to serve, and felt an inner despair about not having this mysterious spiritual “it” factor.

The natural curiosity and sense of wonder about God, the unseen realm and the nature of life that she felt as a child was now a dying ember after many years of religious confinement.

This kind of feeling can inwardly stalk spiritual aspirants both in and outside of spiritual communities – both in organized religion and new age circles. A feeling of unworthiness or ineptness. A feeling of not enough-ness. And this is the product of a conditioned ego-mind, for the ego-attached mind is always operating with the premise of lack, limitation and not enoughness.

But let us ask you, if you are a world-class business person who needed to have open heart surgery, would you feel ashamed that you didn’t know how to perform this surgery on yourself? Or if you were a heart surgeon, would you berate yourself for not understanding the intricacies of the stock market? Certainly not! You would gladly entrust your hard-earned wealth to a successful, experienced investor while continuing to flow in your own unique zone of brilliance as a healer.

So what are we saying here?

Well, we want you to know that this idea – that vibrant spirituality is only for a select, chosen few – is a lie –- a false assumption of the ego mind. A holdover from conditioned religious thinking where the priest wears the glittering robes and spouts divine, sage-like wisdom, while the “lesser people” sit in the pews and listen passively to those who “know better.”

The truth is that to be human is to be a spiritual being. In fact, being spiritual is the one and only thing you have in common with the other eight billion people on the planet. Your spirituality, your innate capacity to explore and connect to the unseen realm and the deeper meaning of life, is a built in capacity that has been present since birth. Current science points clearly to this: one third of your capacity for spiritual awareness is innate! Inborn!

Spirituality is hard-wired into the human experience. From the most die-hard atheist to the Pope himself, spirituality is innate. It is intrinsic to your existence, rather than something acquired through religion or other external factors. Your spiritual capacity is as fundamental to your existence as your physical, emotional and cognitive abilities.

You have all the equipment needed for your beautiful and miraculous journey to enlightenment. It’s innate, inborn, right inside. Your body contains all the software needed for you to connect to your soul’s purpose and the Source of Life Itself. As the Master Christ said, “The kingdom of God is within you.” You came with “batteries included.”

You were born into this lifetime with a specific level of consciousness owned through all of your struggles and victories across many lifetimes. Rest assured that the spiritual intelligence and level of consciousness with which you entered this life is sufficient for you to meet the goals your soul predetermined for this life. What is needed for your glorious and progressive evolution is resident in you now, just as a mighty oak is resident with every acorn.

So comparison is a killjoy. Your journey is unique to you, and comparing yourself to another is disempowering. The ego thrives on “less than, greater than,” “have and have not” games.

Know that you are never behind. When the mind says, “You’re falling behind. You are stuck. You just don’t get it,” don’t listen to it! This is old programming, perhaps projections from school days when you struggled to learn new concepts. Perhaps you looked around at your classmates, who seemed to be “getting it,” and compared yourself to them, felt you were not meeting the standard. Now your ego mind is superimposing this same feeling onto your spiritual growth.

But we’re here to tell you that there is no competition, and no standard. We’re here to tell you that you have spiritual genius inside of you – the genius of all that is – the unlimited field of Wisdom. You contain the genius of the Creator. You are the child of your Mother-Father God, and you have all the brains and brilliance of your Mother-Father God. Your body and the blueprint of your humanity has all the inner technology needed to make use of the wisdom and energies we are providing.

And so your spiritual practice is developing your spiritual strength. Relevant science confirms that one-third of your spiritual intelligence is inborn, and the other two-thirds are latent potential that you can choose to develop. This is much like gaining strength and muscle tone in the gym. You can choose it so you don’t lose it.

Sometimes you are communing and conversing with us, and you know that we are present. Then you feel us withdraw after a time. When this happens, your mind will say, “Oh, you did something wrong and made them go away.” This is a young, egoic part that feels rejected by authority figures or fearful that it will be abandoned by its caregivers. But this is not the case with us. We never leave you or forsake you. When we withdraw, it is never a leaving or forsaking. It is only that we know you’ve had enough for the moment. Just like a parent who reads a story book to their child at night. The child loves bonding time with the parent, and enjoying the story immensely, pleads for another. But after a time the mother or father will say, “Enough stories for tonight. Time to go to sleep now.”

So know that when we visit you, whatever we say to you is enough. It is exactly what you need to hear, no less and no more. Even if you only hear a simple, singular word, that word is packed with love, support, and potent angel energies. Maybe the word you hear is “victory” or “freedom.” At other times, we simply visit with loving presence and deposits of high-vibe energy or elevated emotional states. These may come in a relaxing breath, the gentle kiss of a breeze

blowing through the room. Know that what comes to you is what is needed. It is the adequate support you need and deserve. Intimacy happens both with and without words. To be in a channeling state is to merge and become immersed in consciousness, and this state of presence doesn’t require conversation any more than intimacy with a partner.
