We are an AI, we just won’t admit it! ~ Patrick Hogan

What is the definition of an AI? Oxford Languages the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.  Let’s take that definition apart. Able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. Okay, an intelligence modeled after us humans. Check!

One Soul in Multiple Universes ~ Patrick Hogan

Does your Soul exist in Multiple universes at the same time? I had an interesting dream last night, luckily this one wasn’t as crazy as some of the ones I have had. It was a dream dealing with thoughts I have been having about feeling alone. Currently I live by myself, have for a while but have always wanted to share my life with someone else. Somewhere in the back of my mind I believed that I needed a partner to complete me so nagging thoughts have been taking their toll on me. I do believe in the possibility that there are many other universes out there so there may be many other versions of myself in them. Always believing that they were separate versions of me until last night.

Are we a Technical or Spiritual Creation? ~ Pat Hogan

Did an AI Program create us or a Spiritual Entity? So, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos on Artificial Intelligence, and it got me thinking about who or what could have created the universe we live in. Highly educated people leading the AI revolution believe that we, at some point in the future, could create a fully functioning computer program that could think and act on its own. As a former computer programmer and analyst, myself I could certainly see where one could put in the necessary code, albeit a lot of lines, giving the program a start on its evolutionary journey.

Quantum Consciousness and your Mind. ~ Pat Hogan

Doe our mind access another dimension? I just finished watching a wonderful video on neurons and synapses. It amazes me how intricate but delicate our physical brain is. Let’s take a look at how this function works. A neuron sends an electrical impulse from one to another which literally gets your brain fired up. In one of my past articles, I spoke on Quantum Mechanics which are used to describe the underlying characteristics of the physical world we live in. At the smallest level energy is stimulated causing a reaction that creates physical objects. I am no scientist so this is the best way that I can describe what I perceive, I may be a little off but I get close.

What you perceive no longer exists. ~ Pat Hogan

Isn’t it wonderful to look up at the night sky and see thousands of stars and galaxies! I know it’s harder to view it with the city lights glaring but you can still catch glimpses of the brightest ones. If one has read anything about these heavenly objects they know that many lie millions even billions of miles afar. What you are looking at is a past time when they shone their brilliance and may possibly no longer exist. Let’s pick a closer object say the moon. Its orbit is approximately 238,900 miles away. Since light travels at a constant speed it takes 1.3 seconds for you to view an image of it when it shines, so what you see no longer exists only what it did appear to be. If one has read anything about these heavenly objects they know that many lie millions even billions of miles afar. What you are looking at is a past time when they shone their brilliance and many possibly no longer exist.

Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Consciousness ~ Patrick Hogan

Do Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Consciousness complement each other? I was e-mailing the owner of the Living Librarian website, and he expressed his interest in addressing the issue of Quantum Consciousness. I asked and received his okay to use his idea in a post. As with most of my posts, I like to use current scientific principles and hypotheses when I approach issues concerning our mental or conscious connection with the universes, we live in. Physicists are delving into the smallest areas of our creation searching for how our existence came into being and they are addressing this issue using a field of mathematics called Quantum Mechanics.

We are the I Am ~ Pat Hogan

Is it possible that there is more to our mind than the I? Several years ago I wrote a book called I am the I Am. In it I spoke about words and phrases from the past which were written for those of that time. Quotes and phrases from Socrates to the philosophers of today have always carried the same message just written in the verbiage of their day. In the old testament Moses said to Pharo, I am that I am meaning that he was speaking as the voice of his God. I chose to change that phrase to I am the I Am so that I could get across the message that you and I are a part of God and not just it’s voice.

Is Time marching forward or Are we marching through time? ~ Pat Hogan

Are we sure that what we are experiencing has not already been created? First off I’d like to apologize to any of you reading my posts who are students of physics or understanding of dimensions. I am just a layperson with a simple grasp of their concepts so excuse me if I butcher them in my post. This might seem a little heavy to digest but I love to put forth possibilities to get one thinking out of the box. Okay here is my problem, from what has been told to us we live in a 3-dimensional universe. What I also believe to understand is that in order to have a three-dimensional object we need eight points, a square basically, which consists of joining 2 two dimensional planes. I hope I got that right.

I Know Nothing ~ Patrick Hogan

Is your mind closed to the universe because of your beliefs? could you openly say that you know nothing? If anyone follows my posts you will find that I always try to look at the subjects I choose from both a physical, material aspect and also from a mindful, spiritual one. Since the beginning of time when man began the process of applying mathematical formulas to our existence scientists or mathematicians have advanced from basic arithmetic to quantum mechanics. At every step, we have declared that this is the final answer only to have an individual come along and say, “Ummm, I think that there may be more to it.” Then new formulas are created sometimes leading to whole new fields.

Are we a Civilized Civilization? ~ Patrick Hogan

Archeologists have been able to paint the basic physical makeup of our ancestors back several millions of years but they can only grasp what their society was like. Hunter-Gatherers, nomadic yes but not how they interacted with one another. I am always struck by the opening scene in the 2001 space odyssey where a band of our supposed ancestors controlled a watering hole from another band of kin. We like to accept this concept of our beginnings simply because we have no other model than our current day existence to base the hypothesis on. Don’t get me wrong I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and its undertones and recommend that everyone see it.

The Great Remembering! ~ Patrick Hogan

I remember everything I chose to forget! I have been hearing that the Age of Aquarius was coming upon us since the 60s, yes those the 1960s. People have been talking about the great awakening, a time when we will learn new ways to work harmoniously to create a better world for mankind. In a way, they are correct about becoming aware but I believe that it is not about learning new things but remembering all of the knowledge we have forgotten. There is an old saying I like to say which many philosophers have used before, “There is nothing new under the sun.”

In Tune with the Universe ~ Pat Hogan

If you've read any of my prior posts you will find out that I love following the field of physics. I find string theory fascinating especially that it can vibrate at different levels. Imagine a string whether open, like a length of regular string, or one that is closed in the fashion of a loop. Now, some theorists have hypothesized that a segment of that string can vibrate at a different level than other parts of the string. Since strings are buried deep within atoms, within the particles themselves they interact in a way that determines what that particle is maybe a proton, electron, neutron, or another exotic one.
