While reading and scrolling through new age and spiritual news, we often cross terms we might not be familiar with. Like aura for example or lower – and higher bodies. What are those actually? What is their meaning and function?
Let’s focus on 3 of our lower bodies. We have more bodies that builds up our auric field but today we are going to explain more about 3 of them.

We are all composed of various energy bodies which are all a part of our full Beingness in this incarnation. We have an existence that stretches far outside of our physical body ; we are so much more than that just like Archangel Zadkiel informed us in the exercise on releasing our self image.
Everybody possesses an aura around him/herself which consists of various layers and each layer has a designation and a specific function on an energetic level. What takes place in an energetic way in the physical body is reflected in the layers of our aura and vice versa. The aura is like a reflection as it were of what manifests in our physical being and vice versa as well.
The layers are divided as follows whereby the lower physical -, the lower ethereal -, the lower emotional – and the lower mental body belong to the physical level. These layers are the strongest and most closely linked and they are in proximity of our physical reality and embodiment. If there are impurities and blockages present in one of these ethereal bodies or if some disharmonious, imbalanced energies are present, than this fact is going to reflect in and on our physical reality.
1st Ethereal body
The ethereal body is the blueprint of our physical body on an ethereal level and this body forms the link between the physical body and the astral body. This ethereal has the highest density and the lowest frequency after the physical body and is situated very close to the skin where it is responsible for the energy distribution in the chakras.
When the energy in the chakras cannot flow smoothly then certain illnesses can manifest in the ethereal body. You can even notice this in the layer of the aura through holes and dark spots. The physical and the ethereal body are closely linked with each other whereby all changes in energy are noticeable immediately. That which takes place in the ethereal body will very soon be detected in your physical fields. Negativity that is dwelling in your ethereal body can manifest itself in the most intense and quick ways and will have an influence on your physical body.
2nd The emotional body
This body is directly connected to the ethereal body. It is the body where all emotional dispositions and moods are perceived and where they enter. This body is the largest one and it accounts for 80% of the totality of all our bodies, along with the higher emotional body (the universal Love body or the Celestial body).
3rd Mental Body (lower mental)
This body connects to the emotional body. All power of thought, all lower thought forms and all ideas are contained in this body. This body is the carrier of the human thinking mind and it reflects that what the human being is thinking about. Everything what we think and create in lower mental energy is formed and observed in this body.
